Jeremiah 24-27

“Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good. For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up. And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.” Jeremiah 24:6-7

Lord, Thy truth is wonderful. That even Thy chastening rod is meant for good to those who love Thee. All that Thou doest is for our good and to give us a heart to know Thee. Lord, I pray that you would forgive me for doubting Thy love for me. Help me to, as I ask every day, to know Thee and to be a humble servant unto Thee.

Jeremiah 20-23

“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” Jeremiah 23:5-6

Lord, I thank Thee for Thy Son, Jesus Christ. I pray that you would forgive me for not representing Him in a manner befitting one of His children. I have had attitudes in my heart that have not mirrored His love and compassion. Help me to turn from my wicked ways unto Thee.

Jeremiah 16-19

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.” Jeremiah 17:5-6

Lord, I pray that I would not trust in men nor myself but help me to trust in Thee and to dwell continually by Thy side.

Jeremiah 12-15

“But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 12:17

Lord, though this passage was written to Thy people, I know that to every nation that is upon the face of the earth, this truth applies. Lord, I pray for the United States. This nation, though founded upon the truths of Thy word, has turned its back to Thee and has cast Thee from their sight. Lord, I beg Your mercy upon us, but mores so, I pray that those who have not turned from Thee will be used to see many won to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah 8-11

“Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!” Jeremiah 9:1

Dear God, how apathetic am I toward the state of man. Day after day passes by and hardly a tear is shed by me for the truth that the people around me are lost and on their way to a devil’s hell. Lord, help me to have the compassion of Christ for those who are lost without hope. Lord, for the young men who I hear about to day in Iraq who died this week. Lord, where are they now? Are they beholding Thy face…or tumbling forever in a Christ-less eternity. May my heart be broken for the lost.

Jeremiah 4-7

“For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.” Jeremiah 4:3-4

Lord, I pray you would help me to circumcise the foreskin of my heart and turn from my wicked ways. As the days go by, and I learn from Thy word, I learn how enslaved to my sin I really am. I learn more and more how my sin fallows the ground of my heart and life and makes it unfruitful. Help me Lord to break up this monotonous and habitual lifestyle of mine that I may glorify Thee with my life.

“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.” Jeremiah 7:21-23

Lord, how often do I rely on the “sacrifices” of my life to give me a false sense of security about my relationship and obedience to Thee. Lord, help me not to go through the motions but to yield to Thy will in all things that it may be well with me and sinners will be converted unto Thee.

Jeremiah 1-3

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.” Jeremiah 1:5-9

Lord, though this is passage is in reference to one person, Thy prophet Jeremiah, I know that You have known us all before the time we were in the womb. Lord, You have a plan for all our lives, and I have been blessed enough to be brought unto Thee to serve in Thy ministry. Thank you for such a wonderful privilege as to serve Thee, but help me to be sober minded concerning my responsibility to Thee. I know that within me is no good thing and that if it were not for Thee, I would be utterly desolate. Help me to know Thee and to love Thee with all my heart that I may be able to see a few saved through my ministry.

Isaiah 62-66

“For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.” Isaiah 62:1-2

Lord, I praise Thy holy name that Thou hast, for all time, had it in Thy plan to reach all nations of the world, and all gentiles as I am. Lord, thank You for Thy loving kindness and Thy mercy toward me and all people. Forgive me, as I have, for so long, not found Thee precious to my heart as I ought. Help me to love Thee and to follow Thee with all my life.

Isaiah 58-61

“If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” Isaiah 58:13-14

Lord, again, I know that this passage is dealing with Thy people Israel, but I know that there is a principle here that is applicable to my own life. Lord, I pray that You would help me not to do my own ways but that I would follow closely after Thee. My desires are continually on my own pleasure and to seek my own paths. Lord, I know that I, in no way, have the ability to do that which is right save by Thy doing in my life. Help me to love You and to honor You.

“And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.” Isaiah 60:3-5

Lord, thank you that Your plan has always been for the world to know Thy name. Thank you that I stand redeemed and forgiven of all iniquity. Help me to love Thee as I ought for such a wonderful gift as Thy Son, Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 55-57

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 557-9

Lord, thank you that no matter the wickedness of my heart that You will abundantly pardon. I often try to contemplate such love, mercy, and grace but it is too high for me. Lord, truly Thy thoughts are higher than mine, in so much that I know not what I should ask of Thee. Lord, deal with me as Thou see fit for thy honor and glory.

Isaiah 50-54

“Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.” Isaiah 50:2

Lord, I thank Thee that You have the power to redeem and that You have redeemed me. As I sit and read Thy word, I realize that anything that I ask of Thee or say of Thee is far from what You are worthy of. Lord, thank you for your Son who continually is making intersession for me because I know not what I truly ask or need. Help me to follow Thee the best that I can.

Bible Reading: 2081131

Isaiah 42-49

“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honorable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;” Isaiah 43:1-5

Dear God, I praise Thee that even when Thy people turn their backs on Thee, that You redeem them and love them regardless. Lord, I know that this passage has to do with Thy people, the Jews, and I praise Thee that Thou hast not cast them off utterly and will continue to use them. At the same time, I pray that You would forgive my sins and cleans me from all unrighteousness. Lord, the message today convicted me so of my apathy toward Thee and the truth that there are people on their way to hell. Please, I beg of Thee, shake me out of apathy and out of fear. I often fear what Thou may truly do with me if I were to totally surrender, but still, I know it is what You desire of me. Help me not to fear and to place my trust in Thee.

“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior. I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.” Isaiah 43:7-12

Lord, what can I say to this other than Thou art truly worthy to be praised and worshiped. Lord, I only wish, that in my sinful state, I could stand in awe of Thee as I ought…but I know that even when I shall stand in Thee completed at the foot of Thy throne in heaven, I shall still be unable to give Thee the praise and adoration that truly is due Thee and that is why we will praise Thee for all eternity. That is why the seraphim continually praise the thrice holy God. Lord, I truly do not understand, and most likely will never, even in heaven, understand Thy interest in such a sinful waste as me. Help me to praise Thee forever and to live in the truth that Thou art the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and besides Thee, there is no Savior.

“But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel. Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities. I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified. Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.” Isaiah 43:22-28

Lord, how could you be of such infinite mercy, compassion, and grace that for Thine own sake, Thou wouldst blot out the transgressions of Thy people. Lord, the more I read, the more I am amazed at the depth of Thy love for Thy people Israel. But knowing Thy love for Israel, I am even more amazed that You would love a gentile dog such as me. O’ Lord, how could I commit such iniquities against Thee and cause Thee to serve with my sins? How could I weary Thee so with my utter disregard for The place You ought to hold in my life? Dear God, I know that I must change my conduct and place Thee in the most prolific place in my life that there would be no question of who I serve and that sinners would be drawn unto Thee. Help me to serve Thee and change my heart I beg of Thee.

“They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing? Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together. The blacksmith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint. The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house. He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it. Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshipeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto. He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire: And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshipeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god. They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.” Isaiah 44:9-18

My Lord and my God! How is it that for so long I have laid idle from Thy word, and have not come to hear Thy desire for the world from Thy own lips? I have listened to the words of men year by year, yet have allowed myself so frequently to regard that as enough. My personal relationship with Thee has laid dormant for year upon year as I have continued in my own vanity as there are people around the world that fashion gods of their own effort and strength as described in these verses! THEY HAVE NO HOPE AND YET I STAND UNMOVED AND UNASHAMED…O’ WRECHED MAN THAT I AM! Lord, I beg Thy forgiveness as I sit and Billions around the world are dying. Satan has very effectively, for nearly all of my years as a Christian to fight me in the one place where it matters most, my personal walk with Thee in Thy word. And the second is like unto it, in that I have cared little for the furtherance of any kind of knowledge that would better aid me in my desire to follow close to Thee and to reach the world. Help me to go with all fervor to those who fission gods of their own hands that shall die in their sins without hope.

Isaiah 34-41

“And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumor, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.” Isaiah 37:6-7

Heavenly Father, how wonderful art Thou unto Thy people. Lord, though these words are for Thy people, the Jews, the principles remain the same, that all those who trust in Thee shall not see defeat. Even in death, we shall see victory! Lord, help me to trust in Thee with all my heart and to lean not unto my own understanding. Help me to win the battle for my mind on a daily basis. I have found myself often dwelling on things that do not glorify Thee. Turn my mind unto Thee through Thy word. Help me to commit my works unto Thee that my thoughts should be established.

“Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back. For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth. The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.” Isaiah 38:17-20

Dear God, I praise Thee that Thou hast cast all our sins behind Thy back! You have delivered Thy children from the grave and from hell! For all time, even before Thy Son, Jesus Christ, came to give His life, You saved people from desolation by Thy grace through faith. Lord, truly we ought to praise Thee for Thy marvelous works unto the children of men. Help our feeble, stammering tongues to show forth praise that is befitting of Thy majesty.

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

Lord, help me to take heed unto Thy word, for it standeth forever! Help me to hide it in my heart that I might not sin against Thee. My desire is to be filled with Thy Spirit that He may teach me Thy precepts; that the sinner may be converted unto Thee and may bring forth praise and glory unto Thee.

Isaiah 26-33

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3

Lord, my desire is to trust in Thee in all things. I know that when I am away from Thy word that the cares of the world very easily invade my heart and mind. They cause me to turn from Thee and to place my heart in things that are not convenient. Lord, my desire is the peace that passeth all understanding and that only comes from Thee. Help me to turn from the foolishness of cares of the world and fill my heart with Thy word. \

“O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.” Isaiah 26:13

Lord, I have had many lords in my life other than Thee and to this day they are present here with me. Lord, I pray that You would free me from the sin that so easily besets me and cleans me from all unrighteousness. I desire Thy reward in heaven and to stand in the day of judgment having done all to stand. My desire is that more will have been done with my life to glorify Thee than that which will be burnt with fire.

“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.” Isaiah 28:6

Dear God, thank You for Thy Son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the earth! Lord, bless Thy Holy name for the Truth of Thy word and Thy desire for the salvation of all mankind! Dear God, may Thou receive all glory that is due Thy name. Help us, Thy children, to follow Thee with the whole heart and to serve The with fervency.

“Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.” Isaiah 29:13-14

Lord, of a truth this is the heart of Thy people and the heart that beats in my chest. I have removed my heart far from Thee, though I praise Thee with my mouth. Lord, accept You do a marvelous work among Thy people, both Jew and Gentile, our hearts will remain far from Thee. Lord, do a work in my life and help me to turn from my wicked ways and lead me in the way everlasting.

“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.” Isaiah 30:1-3

Lord, I pray for the state of our country. Truly we have turned to the council of the ungodly and have covered ourselves in a veil of unrighteousness. We have added sin unto sin and take pride in our goings. We have turned to the prince of this world, and as a result, it shall be to our shame. We have elected one who stands firmly on the principles of darkness and of the devil. Lord, I pray for his soul that he would be turned unto Thee. Lord. Forgive us our iniquity and our haughty spirit and spare the United States for the sake of Thy children that still stand fast in Thy word.

“Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever: That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.” Isaiah 30:8-13

Lord, if this is not a description of the people of our country, they I do not know any other way to describe them more perfectly then this passage of scripture. We desire not to hear the precepts of Thy word preached with truth and in fervency but rather to hear a smooth thing that sits well with us that we may take peace and pleasure in our sinful state. Help me to be a man of God who will, while speaking the truth in love, would stand and proclaim the truth of Thy word and perfect doctrine. Help me not to be harsh or unkind but to stand boldly and to proclaim the truth that damnation awaits all those who do not place their faith in Thee and turn not from their wicked ways.

Isaiah 18-25

“In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction. In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a savior, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.” Isaiah 19:18-21

Lord, I do not pretend to  know everything about Thy word and particularly the writing’s of Thy prophets. I do not know to the full extent of the meaning behind the burden of Egypt but these verses seem to say that there will be a time when the gentile people of this nation, the nation You have used throughout Thy word as a picture of the world, shall turn unto Thee and shall know Thee as their God. Lord, thank you for seeing fit to make a gentile dog like me one of Thy children. I am unfit beyond measure to stand in Thy presence, but one day I shall see Thee face to face and call Thee my King. Lord, help me to live like I ought and to forsake this sin of unfaithfulness to Thy word. Help me to love Thee and to crave the words of Thy mouth every moment of the day, that I may do that which is pleasing in Thy eyes.

Isaiah 10-17

“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.” Isaiah 11:1-5

Dear God, blessed be Thy holy name through Jesus Christ. Lord, to think that age upon age Your plan was to send Jesus Christ to be the propitiation for our sin. Dear God, my feeble tongue cannot express the vastness of Thy glory and Thy love toward mankind. Forgive the wickedness of my heart and the utter disregard for the truth of Thy word that I have in my heart. Lord, help me to live if the truth that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that You are a thrice holy God. Help me to know through Thy infinite word; the truth of Thy holiness, that I might live my life for Thee in a manner befitting a child of the King.

“And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.” Isaiah 11:10

Lord, bless Thy holy name for the rest You have brought to all people in Jesus Christ. May all people praise Thy holy name for the glorious rest we have found. Lord, help us to proclaim Thy name throughout the whole earth that every nation may know of Thy Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to live each day in this truth and to love Thee with our whole heart.

Isaiah 2-9

“And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.” Isaiah 4:3-4

Lord, I know that these words were written for Thy people, Israel and that these events are past. But Lord, I pray that You would wash away the filth of my life and help me to be called holy. Purge me from my sin and help me to be what I ought to be . I am tired of straying and falling away. Help me to draw near unto Thee.

“Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!” Isaiah 5:21

Lord, help me not to be wise in my own eyes. My heart is continually lofty and my head is lifted up. God, Thou hast blessed me and all that is done in my life is through Thy strength alone. Help me to love Thee and to never be ungrateful for the blessings Thou hast bestowed upon me.

“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.” Isaiah 6:3-4

Lord, one cannot in good conscience pass this verse without realizing the application it has for their life. Lord, Thou art Holy and my heart and mind is so far from this reality. I treat You as common place and do not regard Your holiness. Lord, forgive me my sin and cleans me of unrighteousness. Truly my salvation is all of Thee and Thy glory is from everlasting to everlasting. Help me to follow Thee with my whole heart.

Song of Solomon 2-Isaiah 1

“O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.” Song of Solomon 2:14

Dear God, I thank Thee that You desire to hear my prayers. For years I struggled with fear to speak with Thee. I feared Thy wrath because I knew what a wretch I truly am. But Lord, I thank Thee that through Thy grace and enablement, that I am able to come boldly before Thy thrown to voice my petition.

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” Song of Solomon 2:15

Lord, help me to weed out the little sins in my life that are continually separating me from Thee. Often the sins that so easily beset me take hold of my heart and drag me away from Thy loving favor. Help me through Thy word to be wary of Satan’s devices and to stand in the day of adversity that You may receive glory.

“Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck. How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices! Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.” Song of Solomon 4:9-11

Dear God, I thank Thee for a wife such as the one Thou hast given me. I am amazed day by day for the love that she has towards me. I never in my life could have imagined such treasure as I have found in her. Lord, help me to lover her and always be ravished by her.

Ecclesiastes 6-Song of Solomon 1

“All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.” Ecclesiastes 6:7

Lord, I know that in my heart is little more than the desire to feed my own appetite. I know that along with the goal to be a major financial supporter of the ministry comes the danger that faces anyone with great wealth and that is the love of money and the increasing of one’s appetite for tangible and monetary riches. Though my appetite may never be filled in this life Lord, help me to be one who loves Thy ministry greatly and gives of his substance to see that all can be done for the glory of God.

“Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better? For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?” Ecclesiastes 6:11-12

Lord, help me to live with this in mind. My pride is great within me and I am continually lifted up like a novice (II Timothy 3). I seem to believe that there is something within me that is truly worth something but nothing could be further from the truth. Lord, my desire is that I would live my life in a selfless manner and live it in the realization that there is no other opportunity it offers other than to serve God and to bring Him glory. Help me not to labor for riches, fame, or even personal pride…but solely for Thee.

Proverbs 29-Ecclesiasties 5

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Proverbs 29:2

Dear God, I humbly ask for mercy upon our country. Lord, it seems that year by year more of the wicked come to power. I know that I have nothing to fear being under the blood of Jesus Christ, but nonetheless, I pray that our country would repent and turn back to Thee. There is much that goes on behind the scenes that we do not know and we have now elected a president that wishes to do many things that are contrary to Thy word. Thou I know that I will one day be in heaven, I pray for our country and for it to turn its heart back to you.

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.” Ecclesiastes 4:9

Lord, thank you again for the people you have put in my life who help me day by day to grow and to move closer to the purpose You have for me. Help me to cherish them and to be a reciprocator of the help they give me. Most of all, thank you for Thy presence in my life and the help You give so liberally.

Proverbs 21-28

“By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honor, and life.” Proverbs 22:4

Lord, I pray that You would help me to be humble and to fear Thee. Lord, I know that in my heart there is much pride and next to no fear concerning the things which Thou hast set before me. The dreams and visions that You have put in my heart will never be accomplised though me if I continue to serve self rather than Thee.

“My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.” Proverbs 24:13-14

Lord, thank You for the wisdom Thy word giveth. Truly wisdom is as sweet as hone and is a great reward. Never in my life did I think that Thy word would be something that held me is such awe and wonder. Yet, I continually stray from its council and safety. Help me to love Thee and Thy word with an everlasting love.

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” Proverbs 27:6

Lord, thank you for all the wonderful friends and mentors You have put in my life. Thank you that they are not afraid to tell it how it is. Help me to be a friend that loves yet is in good standing enough to rebuke or correct when necessary and when it is done, the person know that it is because I am their friend and I love them.

Proverbs 13-20

“Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.” Proverbs 13:10

Lord, I pray that in my daily life, that I would not allow my pride to cause contentions with my wife, family, friends, and business associates. I know that recently I have allowed a number of things to bother me and a few times have let things be said that caused contention. Forgive me for my folly and help me to be as You are.

“Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labor shall increase.” Proverbs 13:11

Lord, help me to be a good laborer. My hope is that I will be used of Thee to support the ministry financially, however, I know at this time that I am not ready. I know that I would become too attached to the material things that wealth brings. I must be brought to a place where my main motivation is Thee and not myself. Help me to labor diligently and to seek wisdom.

“The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.” Proverbs 14:15

Lord, help me to look well to my going. Help me to seek after wisdom and to know the truth of Thy word. There are so many things that I know are just over the horizon that You have prepared for my life and in truth, though I am looking forward to those things, I am in fear of them. I know that more and more responsibility will be laid on me once You have given me the wisdom to understand it. I pray that You would help me to prepare so that I might glorify and honor Thee.

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” Proverbs 16:3

Lord, my desire is that I would give Thee my whole heart and life that my thoughts may be sweet. Your word says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh…I would imagine that it would effect our thinking too. My desire is to have a pure thought life, which is the hardest life to have seeing that it is secret to all but Thee. Help me to fill my heart with Thy word that my thoughts would be pure and right.

Proverbs 4-12

“Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: Lest thou give thine honor unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labors be in the house of a stranger; And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,” Proverbs 5:7-11

Dear God, I have heard Thy warnings time and time again yet I still find myself straying from Thy word and from Thy paths. I pray that You would help me to remove my way far from sin and from the snare of the devil that I may keep the blessings that Thou hast bestowed on me and my family. I desire to have joy and not mourning and to share the truth of Thy goodness with others. Help me to stand in the day of adversity and to keep my feet from the paths of evil.

“Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee. Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.” Proverbs 5:15-19

Lord, thank You for the wonderful wife that You have given me. Thank you that she has an undying love and affection for me. Lord, thank you for her loyalty, devotion, and tender care for me day by day. Help me always to cherish and be thankful for her and never to stray to another.

“Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.” Proverbs 8:10-12

Dear God, help me to known wisdom and to dedicate myself to finding it. Lord, I have consistently strayed from the necessity to read and find out knowledge. Help me not to falter and to know what it is that You have for my life. Help me to know what I must to be used of Thee and to accomplish what You have ordained for me to do.

Psalm 147-Proverbs 4

"Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent: his glory is abolve the earth and heaven. He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Is'-ra'el, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD." Psalm 148:13-14

Lord, it is beyond me to give Thee adequate praise. You created me, yet I rebel against you daily. Forgive, I pray Thee, the sins of Thy servant. Help me to turn from my wicked ways and to stand for righteousness and truth.

Psalm 139-146

“Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.” Psalm 139:6

Lord, truly it is impossible to truly attain unto the knowledge of who You truly are in this life. Even in heaven, it may be that Thy love and Thy glory are so deep that all eternity would not be enough time to fully comprehend it. Lord, this truth shows me who I really am in comparison to Thee and yet…I still seek to lead my own life and to rebel against Thee. Lord, forgive me and help me to praise Thee. Help me to stand and be the man that You have shown me to be in Thy word.

“Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:21-24

Lord, I find myself not being grieved like I should with those who rise up against Thee. I have not counted them my enemies and have not stood for what is right. If You were to search my heart, Thou wouldst surly find wickedness. Lord, forgive me and help me to stand for the truth of Thy word. Lead me in the way everlasting.

“I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him; I showed before him my trouble. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me. I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.” Psalm 142:1-7

Lord, I thank Thee that Thou art a God who I can go to when my spirit is overwhelmed within me. When there is no one to comfort me or to care, Thou are a ready help in trouble. Lord, I pray that the persecutors of them that trouble Thy children would be brought low and that Thou wouldst show Thyself mighty before them. Lord, when I am down trodden, I pray that Thou wouldst lift me up that I may praise Thy name. I thank Thee for the wonderful people that Thou hast put in my life that are continually dealing bountifully with me.

“LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.” Psalm 144:3-4

Lord, why do You even bother with such wretches as me. Even when I have drawn far from Thee, I know that Thy presence is still with me and that Thy word and Holy Spirit continually speak to me. Forgive the trespass of Thy servant and help me to follow after Thee. Convict me through Thy Spirit and fill me with the words of Thy mouth that I may be upright and love Thee.

“The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.” Psalm 145:8-9

Lord, I praise Thee for Thy graciousness, Thy compassion, Thy patience, Thy mercy, Thy goodness, Thy tender mercies, and all Thy works. Lord, why…why do You have such wonderful attributes unto Thy children? Why do You choose to have compassion on a worm such as me. Why do I continually find myself in Thy favor when I should be under Thy wrath. Lord, my praise unto the is feeble and any expression of gratitude is vain. I beg of Thee that Thou wouldst accept my praise, for it is a wonder that it does not become sin because of its frailty and lack of any true worth. Help me not to be haughty and to show forth only Thy attributes...that sinners would be converted unto Thee and that the world would know Thy glory.

Psalm 131-138

"LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things to high for me. Surely I have behaved and quited myself as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. Let Is'-ra-el hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever." Psalm 131:1-3

Has there, or ever will there be a time in my life where I can say "My heart is not haughty?" I very highly doubt it. If there is something or someone that hurts my pride, I am the first to square off and to demand respect. Lord, I know that I am not where near what I ought to be but I know that through Thy word, Thou art moulding me to be fit for Thy kingdom. Help me to know wisdom that I may be as David said, "A child that is weaned of his mother." Help me to hope in Thee forever.

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;" Psalm 133:1-2

Lord, help me to do my part to ensure unity in the church and with the brethren. Help me to know and understand Thy word, the hearts of men, and how I ought to humble myself to ensure no offence.

"Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places." Psalm 135:6

Lord, it is easy to say that I want you do whatsoever You please in my life, but it is something entirely different to allow You to do. I pray that Thou wouldst forgive me for my unwillingness to serve Thee with my whole heart. Help me daily to draw near unto Thee and to give Thee my life.

"The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; they have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.: Psalm 135:15-18

Lord, though I may not worship idols of silver and gold...I do worship idols that are made with man's hands. Those idols cause me to be like unto them and not unto Thee. For years I have battled with the knowledge that I ought to turn from them unto Thee and forsake the sin they breed in my life. Lord, give me wisdom that I may stand for Thee and to turn from the things that would take Thy place.

Psalm 123-130

"If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Is-ra-el say; If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:" Psalm 124:1-3

Lord, I know that this verse is in the context of God being with Israel...but I know that it is true for all of Thy children...If You had not been on our side there where would we be. Not only I, but we all would have been utterly consumed. Lord, I praise Thee for Thy loving favor. Help me never to take it for granted and to follow after righteousness.

"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy." Psalm 126:5

Lord, help me to be broken by the things that break Thy heart. I know that there are so many things that I have allowed into my heart that are offencive to Thee and I beg Thy forgiveness. Cleanse my heart from iniquity and help me to heed Thy word. Help me to fight my flesh and have the right attitude. I desire to love Thy law that nothing should offend me...especially the small, petty, insignificant things that are thrown at me on a daily basis. Help me to conduct myself as someone who loves Thee.

"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." Psalm 127:1

There are many desires and dreams that I have for my life, Lord, but I know that if I labor solely under my own efforts, that it is all in vain. Dear God, help me to seek to live my life as the righteous should and forgive the sins of my heart. Work in me that my life may glorify Thee in the end.

Psalm 115-122

“But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.” Psalm 115:3-8

Lord, I thank Thee that Thou art not like unto the gods of men but Thou art the God of all creation. You are infinitely above all creation. Lord, I know that there are many idols in my life…things that sway my heart from Thee, and as Thy word says, I am like unto them. Lord, help me to follow after Thee and to cast aside all sin and weight that would keep me from Thee.

“O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth forever. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalm 117: 1-2

Lord, I thank Thee for Thy loving kindness and Thy mercy. I thank Thee that Thy truth endureth forever. I praise Thee and magnify Thee and ask that Thou wouldst help me to honor Thee with my whole heart. Help me not to stray and to hide myself in Thee.

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” Psalm 118:7

Lord, of a truth, I shall not die until my earthly usefulness is done. I know that no matter what I might face, I will endure and be strengthened by Thee. Lord, my desire is to declare Thy wondrous works to all nations and that from generation to generation Thy work through me would endure. Help me to stand fast and to trust in Thee with my whole heart.

"The also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways." Psalm 119:3

Lord, I pray that Thou wouldst fill me with Thy word that I would do no iniquity. I know that without Thy word that it is impossible for me to stand...why then do I allow myself to be drawn away. Truly my flesh wars with my spirit: only when Thy word is fresh within me does my spirit see triumph over my flesh...and even then, there are battles lost in the midst. Help me to walk in Thy ways and keep my paths straight.

"Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness." Psalm 119:36

Lord, I have desired to be somone of great wealth...and though my heart has been toward thy ministry and being someone who provides for the needs of thy servant...I know that in my sinful state, I easily could be swayed. Lord, let not the love of money enter into my heart and incline my heart unto Thy word that I might not sin against Thee.

Psalm 107-114

O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Psalm 108:1

Lord, I know that my heart is not fixed. There are so many things that sway me from what I ought to be and to do. I pray that Thou wouldst forgive the sins of Thy servant and restore a right spirit within me. I pray that I Thou wouldst help me to always give the praise and glory unto Thee and not to think highly of myself.

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies. Psalm 108:13

Lord, Through Thee, and Thee alone shall we be able to do valiantly. There are many enemies that have compassed us about and are standing in the way of Thy word. Lord, help us to be courageous and to stand for the truth and to spread it throughout the whole world. Help us to stand without fear and to proclaim Thy holy name.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. Psalm 111:4-5

Dear God, I praise Thee for Thy Wonderful works toward men. They truly are to be remembered. You have shown mercy and compassion on my family and I that cannot be expressed or comprehended. Lord, thank You for Thy covenant and for being ever mindful of Thy promises toward Thy children. Help us to honor Thy word with our whole heart that we may be preserved blameless and bring glory unto Thy name.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Psalm 111:10

Lord, once again I pray that Thou wouldst teach me to fear and reverence Thee. That my heart would know wisdom and understand that I am but a worm in Thy sight. Help me to be in awe of Thee and to fear Thy judgements and statutes.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Psalm 112:1-2

Lord, help me to fear Thee for my children's, children's sake. Lord, my desire is that I might raise up a godly generation that knoweth Thee and and carries Thy word throughout the world to every generation. Help my children to be mighty men of God that are examples to all those who would follow after Thee.

A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. Psalm 112:5

Lord, help me to be a discreet man in my goings. Help me to know how and when to hold my tongue and how lift up and encourage rather than voice my frustrations. Help me to be a true leader and to apply Thy wisdome to my heart.

Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy. Psalm 99:9

Lord, Thou art holy and worthy to be praised. I pray that this truth would be, above all, engrained in my conscience and knowledge. That I might praise Thee with my whole heart and reverence Thee.

A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:1-5

Lord, I praise Thee for Thy wondrous works among the children of men. Lord, Thou hast made us what we are and there is nothing we can say that we have done or are apart from Thee. I desire to have a thankful heart and to bless Thy name with my whole heart. Thou hast been good to me and have shown mercy when Thou shouldst shown justice. Lord, it amazes me that something so wonderful as Thy word, would be so easy to turn away from. I have allowed circumstances that could have easily been avoided or changed with a simple decision, to pull me away from what matters most. I desired to dedicate myself wholly to Thee…but I know I am but flesh. Lord, I pray that Thou wouldst strengthen me and hold me close to Thy side. I know that there is no strength in me and that there is no success in my life accept the victory be Thine.

My prayer is that Thou wouldst forgive the iniquities of Thy servant and to grant unto me one more chance to draw neigh unto Thee and to fill my heart with Thy word. Let Thy word be in the inward and hidden parts of me and my life. Help me to take those things which Thou hast taught me and use them for Thy honor and glory. Thank you Lord, for Thy loving kindness and Thy tender mercies.

Psalm 91-98

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence…Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;” Psalm 91:1-3, 5

Lord, I pray that Thou wouldst keep me from the snare of the fowler. I know that many snares have been put in my way of late and I have succumbed to many of them. It has been so easy to mind the things of this world and get caught up in my carnal responsibilities, all the while, forgetting my heavenly ones. Lord, I pray that Thy word would have free course in my life. Help me to forsake slothfulness and a proud, haughty mind. Help me to know my place and that any victory is of Thee and Thee alone. Make me to know my state, that I would praise Thee for Thy wondrous works in my life. My desire is to abide under the shadow of the Almighty and to know that Thou art my God.

“For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.” Psalm 92: 4-5

Lord, how is it that I could ever think that any success I have ever had could have anything to do with my own abilities and efforts? How is it that I could ever believe that my thoughts are deeper than Thine? How is it that I could believe that because of the experience I have gained, that I have anything to do with the victories that I have gotten? Lord, it is all of Thee and Thee alone. Forgive me for the pride of my heart and mind. Bring me low that I may know that Thou truly are God and the strength of my days. Help me to know that Thou art my Sustainer and the Keeper of my life and that the reason that Thou doest these things in my life have only to do with Thy honor and Thy glory in all the earth. Thou hast no need of me, but Thou hast chosen to use me that Thy name might be proclaimed in all the earth. Lord, help me to know my state that Thou mayest gain the maximum glory from my life.

Psalm 75-82

“I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.” Psalm 77:11-12

Lord, help me always to remember the works of Thy hands. Lord truly the half has not been told of Thy works in all the earth, or even for that matter, in my own life. I have felt threatened by things that in Thy sight are so petty. I have bowed up and prepared to fight, and forgotten that I have no reason to fear. Lord, I know that You fight my battles and that all I have to do is to rest in Thee and to have no fear. Help me to remember all Thy wondrous works.

“But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath. For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.” Psalm 78:38-39

Lord, thank you for Thy tender mercies that You show to me day by day. I fail the oft and still Thy compassions fail not nor is Thy grace stilled. Lord, I praise Thee for Thy wondrous works in my life and ask Thee that Thou wouldst help me to bring Thy name glory.

Psalm 59-66

“For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD. They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold…But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision. Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defense.” Psalm 59:3-4, 8-9

Lord, I feel as David did, that I have been judged falsely and accused unjustly. Lord, though I know that there is always more that I could do to improve my abilities and to further production, I have been singled out and made to feel as I am the sole reason for these problems. Lord, help me to trust in Thee and be my defense. Lord, make these who cast stones in my direction to know that my God is the maker and giver of their prosperity. Lord, have them in derision and make my way prosperous so that they who accuse me would be put to shame.

“Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.”

Lord, I need Thy help today. Lord, I desperately need to have the right attitude and heart today. I feel persecuted unjustly and my flesh desires to fight back. But Thou O’ Lord are my only help. I need the strength of Thy right hand to uphold me and to fight against my enemies. Lord, help me to be valiant in my efforts and make the work of my hands to prosper, for without Thy help it is all in vain. There is nothing that I can do but trust in Thee. Lord, forgive my faults and cleans me from sin. As David asked in Psalm 51, renew a right spirit within me and create in me a clean heart O’ God. Forgive me my trespasses and help me to know Thy word. Give me victory and help me to stand in hope of Thee.

Psalm 51-58

“Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” Psalm 51:6

Lord, I beg Thy forgiveness for the sin of my life. Lord, above all, my time with Thee has suffered. Lord, my commitment to Thee and to Thy word has failed. I pray that Thou wouldst cleans me from my sin and blot out my transgression. Lord, help me to put Thy truths and Thy word into my heart that I might know wisdom, how that I might follow after Thee.

Psalm 34-50

“We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favor unto them.” Psalm 44:1-3

Lord, I have gained nothing by my own hand but Thou has given all. Any victory, any position, any possession has all come from Thee. Lord, I praise Thee for the favor that Thou hast shown unto me and for making me as fertile ground that received Thy word and held it. Lord, I pray that I would remain as good ground that I might continually be used by Thee. Help me to know Thy word and Thy Holy Spirit that in the day of judgment, Thou wouldst receive glory.

Psalm 35-42

“They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul. But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.” Psalm 35:12-14

Lord, I know that it is not in me to pray for one who is my enemy. Lord, I pray that You would give me Thy heart for people, even for those who would seek my harm and to use me; for I know that my heart is not perfect and that if I truly were faced with this situation, that I very well may allow bitterness to come into my heart and for me to wish cursing rather than blessing. Help me to be like Thy beloved Son Jesus Christ who was willing to give His life for the salvation of the world, or like Paul who was willing to spend and be spent for the gospel’s sake.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” Psalm 35:27

Lord, thank You that Thou hast pleasure in the prosperity of Thy servant! Lord, I know that to Thee even the death of Thy saints is precious in Thy sight and that in itself is the prosperity of heaven. Lord, I thank Thee that like Joseph, even in adversity, You prospered him and that You do the same for us continually. Thank You that your prosperity is not always in silver or gold, but in favor, loving kindness, and a good name. Help me always to see Thy prosperity that I may rejoice in Thee and have a merry heart.

“Surely every man walketh in a vain show: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.” Psalm 39:6

Lord, I continually fret over the productivity of my life, how that it is never up to par. But Lord, in my best state, it is all empty. Lord, the works of my hands shall come to naught and I shall be found with nothing but wood, hay, and stubble. Lord, I pray that the works of my hands would be for Thy glory and that Thou would use me for in Thy glorious plan. Lord, help me to be a man who does not heap up riches but rather that gives them for Thy ministry’s sake. Lord, I desire for Thee to gather my riches and to use them for Thy honor.

“I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.” Psalm 40:9-10

O’ Lord, that my words would show forth Thy righteousness. Lord, I do not speak of Thee and Thy wondrous works enough dear Lord. I ask of Thee forgiveness and ask that You would give me boldness to speak Thy truth plainly that the world might know there is a God in heaven.

Psalm 27-34

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up forever.” Psalm 28:7-9

Lord, I pray that today Thou wouldst be my strength. Help me to rejoice in my heart and delight in Thee. Help me to be physically strong that I may overcome this illness and to do well in my responsibilities. More so I ask Thee Lord that You would help me to have the strength to be more disciplined in my daily walk. Help me to be an early riser and to be someone who cares more for his physical body so that I might have the ability to serve Thee in a greater capacity.

"Blessed be the LORD: for he hath showed me his marvelous kindness in a strong city.” Psalm 31:21

Lord, I praise Thee for Thy marvelous kindness unto me. Lord, Thou has sustained me through times of troubles and given me reason to be at peace and to rejoice. Help me to be more grateful for the goodness You bestow on my life daily.

“O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.” Psalm 31: 23-24

Lord, help me to be a proud doer. Help me to follow after Thee in truth and righteousness so that I might be counted among Thy faithful followers. Lord, strengthen my heart and help me to hope in Thee that I may persist in my goings and finish the task Thou hast given unto me.

Psalm 19-26

“More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:10-14

Lord, this one thing I know, that there are many other things that I desire seemingly more than Thy word. Lord, I pray that Thou wouldst teach me to desire Thee more than the riches of this world and to be upright in my ways because of the warning they give to me. Help me to keep them so that I may be rewarded in my later end. Lord, I have secret faults that are without number and it seems that my sins have dominion over me. Lord, I desire to be upright and innocent from transgression. Let not these words be spoken vainly but truly that they may be acceptable in Thy sight.

“Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Psalm 24:8”

Lord, I thank Thee for being the King of glory. Thank you that Thou art strong and mighty. Lord, I ask that you would stand before me in battle today. Help me to live for Thee and to proclaim Thy name in all the earth. Be Thou my strength and strong tower.

“All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.” Psalm 25:10-13

Lord, I desire to live in ease upon the earth. Lord, I beg of Thee to pardon my sin and iniquity for as David’s was great, as is mine. Lord, help me to fear Thee and teach me Thy ways that I might know Thy mercy and truth, the my path should be straight.

“But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me. My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.” Psalm 26:11-12

Lord, I pray that I would be a man of integrity that I might see Thy mercy. Help me not to be moved by the vain imaginations of this world. I desire to bless Thee as David did in Thy congregation. Lord, may my heart always be grateful for the blessings that have been bestowed upon me.

Psalm 11-18

For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright. Psalm 11:7

Lord, my heart’s desire today is that you would help me live as a righteous man and to be upright in my ways. Lord, there are many hopes and desires that I have for my life, but I pray that they would merely be a reflection of what Thy desires would be. Truly, the dreams and visions I have for my life, I pray that they would only be shadows of what you truly have in store for me and my family. But help me to be the Christian that I need to be to receive such a blessing.

But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. Psalm 13:5-6

Lord, truly Thou hast dealt bountifully with me. Lord, though I sin against Thee, Thou still give me such things as I need and more. Lord, despite my failures and weaknesses, You still have mercy upon me so that I might rejoice and have gladness of heart. Thank you for Thy blessings and for the peace Thou hast bestowed upon my life.

A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoreth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. Psalm 15

Lord, my desire is that I would never be moved from Thee, but I know that in my heart dwelleth no good thing. My heart does not speak the truth, but it seems that the only thing that comes from it are wicked imaginations. Lord, help me to walk uprightly and to hold Thy word in my heart that I might not sin against Thee. Help me not to speak ill of my neighbor but to fear Thee. Lord help me to do the things which Thou hast written in Thy word that my foot shall not be removed and that I may dwell in Thy holy hill.
