Song of Solomon 2-Isaiah 1

“O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.” Song of Solomon 2:14

Dear God, I thank Thee that You desire to hear my prayers. For years I struggled with fear to speak with Thee. I feared Thy wrath because I knew what a wretch I truly am. But Lord, I thank Thee that through Thy grace and enablement, that I am able to come boldly before Thy thrown to voice my petition.

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” Song of Solomon 2:15

Lord, help me to weed out the little sins in my life that are continually separating me from Thee. Often the sins that so easily beset me take hold of my heart and drag me away from Thy loving favor. Help me through Thy word to be wary of Satan’s devices and to stand in the day of adversity that You may receive glory.

“Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck. How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices! Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.” Song of Solomon 4:9-11

Dear God, I thank Thee for a wife such as the one Thou hast given me. I am amazed day by day for the love that she has towards me. I never in my life could have imagined such treasure as I have found in her. Lord, help me to lover her and always be ravished by her.
