Isaiah 42-49

“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honorable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;” Isaiah 43:1-5

Dear God, I praise Thee that even when Thy people turn their backs on Thee, that You redeem them and love them regardless. Lord, I know that this passage has to do with Thy people, the Jews, and I praise Thee that Thou hast not cast them off utterly and will continue to use them. At the same time, I pray that You would forgive my sins and cleans me from all unrighteousness. Lord, the message today convicted me so of my apathy toward Thee and the truth that there are people on their way to hell. Please, I beg of Thee, shake me out of apathy and out of fear. I often fear what Thou may truly do with me if I were to totally surrender, but still, I know it is what You desire of me. Help me not to fear and to place my trust in Thee.

“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior. I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.” Isaiah 43:7-12

Lord, what can I say to this other than Thou art truly worthy to be praised and worshiped. Lord, I only wish, that in my sinful state, I could stand in awe of Thee as I ought…but I know that even when I shall stand in Thee completed at the foot of Thy throne in heaven, I shall still be unable to give Thee the praise and adoration that truly is due Thee and that is why we will praise Thee for all eternity. That is why the seraphim continually praise the thrice holy God. Lord, I truly do not understand, and most likely will never, even in heaven, understand Thy interest in such a sinful waste as me. Help me to praise Thee forever and to live in the truth that Thou art the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and besides Thee, there is no Savior.

“But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel. Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities. I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified. Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.” Isaiah 43:22-28

Lord, how could you be of such infinite mercy, compassion, and grace that for Thine own sake, Thou wouldst blot out the transgressions of Thy people. Lord, the more I read, the more I am amazed at the depth of Thy love for Thy people Israel. But knowing Thy love for Israel, I am even more amazed that You would love a gentile dog such as me. O’ Lord, how could I commit such iniquities against Thee and cause Thee to serve with my sins? How could I weary Thee so with my utter disregard for The place You ought to hold in my life? Dear God, I know that I must change my conduct and place Thee in the most prolific place in my life that there would be no question of who I serve and that sinners would be drawn unto Thee. Help me to serve Thee and change my heart I beg of Thee.

“They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing? Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together. The blacksmith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint. The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house. He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it. Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshipeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto. He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire: And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshipeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god. They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.” Isaiah 44:9-18

My Lord and my God! How is it that for so long I have laid idle from Thy word, and have not come to hear Thy desire for the world from Thy own lips? I have listened to the words of men year by year, yet have allowed myself so frequently to regard that as enough. My personal relationship with Thee has laid dormant for year upon year as I have continued in my own vanity as there are people around the world that fashion gods of their own effort and strength as described in these verses! THEY HAVE NO HOPE AND YET I STAND UNMOVED AND UNASHAMED…O’ WRECHED MAN THAT I AM! Lord, I beg Thy forgiveness as I sit and Billions around the world are dying. Satan has very effectively, for nearly all of my years as a Christian to fight me in the one place where it matters most, my personal walk with Thee in Thy word. And the second is like unto it, in that I have cared little for the furtherance of any kind of knowledge that would better aid me in my desire to follow close to Thee and to reach the world. Help me to go with all fervor to those who fission gods of their own hands that shall die in their sins without hope.

Isaiah 34-41

“And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumor, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.” Isaiah 37:6-7

Heavenly Father, how wonderful art Thou unto Thy people. Lord, though these words are for Thy people, the Jews, the principles remain the same, that all those who trust in Thee shall not see defeat. Even in death, we shall see victory! Lord, help me to trust in Thee with all my heart and to lean not unto my own understanding. Help me to win the battle for my mind on a daily basis. I have found myself often dwelling on things that do not glorify Thee. Turn my mind unto Thee through Thy word. Help me to commit my works unto Thee that my thoughts should be established.

“Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back. For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth. The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.” Isaiah 38:17-20

Dear God, I praise Thee that Thou hast cast all our sins behind Thy back! You have delivered Thy children from the grave and from hell! For all time, even before Thy Son, Jesus Christ, came to give His life, You saved people from desolation by Thy grace through faith. Lord, truly we ought to praise Thee for Thy marvelous works unto the children of men. Help our feeble, stammering tongues to show forth praise that is befitting of Thy majesty.

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

Lord, help me to take heed unto Thy word, for it standeth forever! Help me to hide it in my heart that I might not sin against Thee. My desire is to be filled with Thy Spirit that He may teach me Thy precepts; that the sinner may be converted unto Thee and may bring forth praise and glory unto Thee.

Isaiah 26-33

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3

Lord, my desire is to trust in Thee in all things. I know that when I am away from Thy word that the cares of the world very easily invade my heart and mind. They cause me to turn from Thee and to place my heart in things that are not convenient. Lord, my desire is the peace that passeth all understanding and that only comes from Thee. Help me to turn from the foolishness of cares of the world and fill my heart with Thy word. \

“O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.” Isaiah 26:13

Lord, I have had many lords in my life other than Thee and to this day they are present here with me. Lord, I pray that You would free me from the sin that so easily besets me and cleans me from all unrighteousness. I desire Thy reward in heaven and to stand in the day of judgment having done all to stand. My desire is that more will have been done with my life to glorify Thee than that which will be burnt with fire.

“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.” Isaiah 28:6

Dear God, thank You for Thy Son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the earth! Lord, bless Thy Holy name for the Truth of Thy word and Thy desire for the salvation of all mankind! Dear God, may Thou receive all glory that is due Thy name. Help us, Thy children, to follow Thee with the whole heart and to serve The with fervency.

“Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.” Isaiah 29:13-14

Lord, of a truth this is the heart of Thy people and the heart that beats in my chest. I have removed my heart far from Thee, though I praise Thee with my mouth. Lord, accept You do a marvelous work among Thy people, both Jew and Gentile, our hearts will remain far from Thee. Lord, do a work in my life and help me to turn from my wicked ways and lead me in the way everlasting.

“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.” Isaiah 30:1-3

Lord, I pray for the state of our country. Truly we have turned to the council of the ungodly and have covered ourselves in a veil of unrighteousness. We have added sin unto sin and take pride in our goings. We have turned to the prince of this world, and as a result, it shall be to our shame. We have elected one who stands firmly on the principles of darkness and of the devil. Lord, I pray for his soul that he would be turned unto Thee. Lord. Forgive us our iniquity and our haughty spirit and spare the United States for the sake of Thy children that still stand fast in Thy word.

“Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever: That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.” Isaiah 30:8-13

Lord, if this is not a description of the people of our country, they I do not know any other way to describe them more perfectly then this passage of scripture. We desire not to hear the precepts of Thy word preached with truth and in fervency but rather to hear a smooth thing that sits well with us that we may take peace and pleasure in our sinful state. Help me to be a man of God who will, while speaking the truth in love, would stand and proclaim the truth of Thy word and perfect doctrine. Help me not to be harsh or unkind but to stand boldly and to proclaim the truth that damnation awaits all those who do not place their faith in Thee and turn not from their wicked ways.

Isaiah 18-25

“In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction. In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a savior, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.” Isaiah 19:18-21

Lord, I do not pretend to  know everything about Thy word and particularly the writing’s of Thy prophets. I do not know to the full extent of the meaning behind the burden of Egypt but these verses seem to say that there will be a time when the gentile people of this nation, the nation You have used throughout Thy word as a picture of the world, shall turn unto Thee and shall know Thee as their God. Lord, thank you for seeing fit to make a gentile dog like me one of Thy children. I am unfit beyond measure to stand in Thy presence, but one day I shall see Thee face to face and call Thee my King. Lord, help me to live like I ought and to forsake this sin of unfaithfulness to Thy word. Help me to love Thee and to crave the words of Thy mouth every moment of the day, that I may do that which is pleasing in Thy eyes.

Isaiah 10-17

“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.” Isaiah 11:1-5

Dear God, blessed be Thy holy name through Jesus Christ. Lord, to think that age upon age Your plan was to send Jesus Christ to be the propitiation for our sin. Dear God, my feeble tongue cannot express the vastness of Thy glory and Thy love toward mankind. Forgive the wickedness of my heart and the utter disregard for the truth of Thy word that I have in my heart. Lord, help me to live if the truth that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that You are a thrice holy God. Help me to know through Thy infinite word; the truth of Thy holiness, that I might live my life for Thee in a manner befitting a child of the King.

“And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.” Isaiah 11:10

Lord, bless Thy holy name for the rest You have brought to all people in Jesus Christ. May all people praise Thy holy name for the glorious rest we have found. Lord, help us to proclaim Thy name throughout the whole earth that every nation may know of Thy Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to live each day in this truth and to love Thee with our whole heart.

Isaiah 2-9

“And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.” Isaiah 4:3-4

Lord, I know that these words were written for Thy people, Israel and that these events are past. But Lord, I pray that You would wash away the filth of my life and help me to be called holy. Purge me from my sin and help me to be what I ought to be . I am tired of straying and falling away. Help me to draw near unto Thee.

“Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!” Isaiah 5:21

Lord, help me not to be wise in my own eyes. My heart is continually lofty and my head is lifted up. God, Thou hast blessed me and all that is done in my life is through Thy strength alone. Help me to love Thee and to never be ungrateful for the blessings Thou hast bestowed upon me.

“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.” Isaiah 6:3-4

Lord, one cannot in good conscience pass this verse without realizing the application it has for their life. Lord, Thou art Holy and my heart and mind is so far from this reality. I treat You as common place and do not regard Your holiness. Lord, forgive me my sin and cleans me of unrighteousness. Truly my salvation is all of Thee and Thy glory is from everlasting to everlasting. Help me to follow Thee with my whole heart.

Song of Solomon 2-Isaiah 1

“O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.” Song of Solomon 2:14

Dear God, I thank Thee that You desire to hear my prayers. For years I struggled with fear to speak with Thee. I feared Thy wrath because I knew what a wretch I truly am. But Lord, I thank Thee that through Thy grace and enablement, that I am able to come boldly before Thy thrown to voice my petition.

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” Song of Solomon 2:15

Lord, help me to weed out the little sins in my life that are continually separating me from Thee. Often the sins that so easily beset me take hold of my heart and drag me away from Thy loving favor. Help me through Thy word to be wary of Satan’s devices and to stand in the day of adversity that You may receive glory.

“Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck. How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices! Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.” Song of Solomon 4:9-11

Dear God, I thank Thee for a wife such as the one Thou hast given me. I am amazed day by day for the love that she has towards me. I never in my life could have imagined such treasure as I have found in her. Lord, help me to lover her and always be ravished by her.

Ecclesiastes 6-Song of Solomon 1

“All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.” Ecclesiastes 6:7

Lord, I know that in my heart is little more than the desire to feed my own appetite. I know that along with the goal to be a major financial supporter of the ministry comes the danger that faces anyone with great wealth and that is the love of money and the increasing of one’s appetite for tangible and monetary riches. Though my appetite may never be filled in this life Lord, help me to be one who loves Thy ministry greatly and gives of his substance to see that all can be done for the glory of God.

“Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better? For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?” Ecclesiastes 6:11-12

Lord, help me to live with this in mind. My pride is great within me and I am continually lifted up like a novice (II Timothy 3). I seem to believe that there is something within me that is truly worth something but nothing could be further from the truth. Lord, my desire is that I would live my life in a selfless manner and live it in the realization that there is no other opportunity it offers other than to serve God and to bring Him glory. Help me not to labor for riches, fame, or even personal pride…but solely for Thee.

Proverbs 29-Ecclesiasties 5

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Proverbs 29:2

Dear God, I humbly ask for mercy upon our country. Lord, it seems that year by year more of the wicked come to power. I know that I have nothing to fear being under the blood of Jesus Christ, but nonetheless, I pray that our country would repent and turn back to Thee. There is much that goes on behind the scenes that we do not know and we have now elected a president that wishes to do many things that are contrary to Thy word. Thou I know that I will one day be in heaven, I pray for our country and for it to turn its heart back to you.

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.” Ecclesiastes 4:9

Lord, thank you again for the people you have put in my life who help me day by day to grow and to move closer to the purpose You have for me. Help me to cherish them and to be a reciprocator of the help they give me. Most of all, thank you for Thy presence in my life and the help You give so liberally.

Proverbs 21-28

“By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honor, and life.” Proverbs 22:4

Lord, I pray that You would help me to be humble and to fear Thee. Lord, I know that in my heart there is much pride and next to no fear concerning the things which Thou hast set before me. The dreams and visions that You have put in my heart will never be accomplised though me if I continue to serve self rather than Thee.

“My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.” Proverbs 24:13-14

Lord, thank You for the wisdom Thy word giveth. Truly wisdom is as sweet as hone and is a great reward. Never in my life did I think that Thy word would be something that held me is such awe and wonder. Yet, I continually stray from its council and safety. Help me to love Thee and Thy word with an everlasting love.

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” Proverbs 27:6

Lord, thank you for all the wonderful friends and mentors You have put in my life. Thank you that they are not afraid to tell it how it is. Help me to be a friend that loves yet is in good standing enough to rebuke or correct when necessary and when it is done, the person know that it is because I am their friend and I love them.

Proverbs 13-20

“Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.” Proverbs 13:10

Lord, I pray that in my daily life, that I would not allow my pride to cause contentions with my wife, family, friends, and business associates. I know that recently I have allowed a number of things to bother me and a few times have let things be said that caused contention. Forgive me for my folly and help me to be as You are.

“Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labor shall increase.” Proverbs 13:11

Lord, help me to be a good laborer. My hope is that I will be used of Thee to support the ministry financially, however, I know at this time that I am not ready. I know that I would become too attached to the material things that wealth brings. I must be brought to a place where my main motivation is Thee and not myself. Help me to labor diligently and to seek wisdom.

“The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.” Proverbs 14:15

Lord, help me to look well to my going. Help me to seek after wisdom and to know the truth of Thy word. There are so many things that I know are just over the horizon that You have prepared for my life and in truth, though I am looking forward to those things, I am in fear of them. I know that more and more responsibility will be laid on me once You have given me the wisdom to understand it. I pray that You would help me to prepare so that I might glorify and honor Thee.

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” Proverbs 16:3

Lord, my desire is that I would give Thee my whole heart and life that my thoughts may be sweet. Your word says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh…I would imagine that it would effect our thinking too. My desire is to have a pure thought life, which is the hardest life to have seeing that it is secret to all but Thee. Help me to fill my heart with Thy word that my thoughts would be pure and right.

Proverbs 4-12

“Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: Lest thou give thine honor unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labors be in the house of a stranger; And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,” Proverbs 5:7-11

Dear God, I have heard Thy warnings time and time again yet I still find myself straying from Thy word and from Thy paths. I pray that You would help me to remove my way far from sin and from the snare of the devil that I may keep the blessings that Thou hast bestowed on me and my family. I desire to have joy and not mourning and to share the truth of Thy goodness with others. Help me to stand in the day of adversity and to keep my feet from the paths of evil.

“Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee. Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.” Proverbs 5:15-19

Lord, thank You for the wonderful wife that You have given me. Thank you that she has an undying love and affection for me. Lord, thank you for her loyalty, devotion, and tender care for me day by day. Help me always to cherish and be thankful for her and never to stray to another.

“Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.” Proverbs 8:10-12

Dear God, help me to known wisdom and to dedicate myself to finding it. Lord, I have consistently strayed from the necessity to read and find out knowledge. Help me not to falter and to know what it is that You have for my life. Help me to know what I must to be used of Thee and to accomplish what You have ordained for me to do.
