Nehemiah 12-Esther 6
“And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves. Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.” Nehemiah 13:25-26
Lord, may I always thank you for the truths that you have taught me and that you taught me concerning the person I should marry. Thank You for my beloved wife that You gave to me and for the grace that You have shown me in helping me to know what I ought to look for in a wife. Help me to be good to her and to help her to follow after Thee.
“Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:13-14
Lord, there is nothing to gain but a destitute life by sitting by and allowing the world to perish. Help me to be a man of action that I might be used to reach the world.
