Bible Reading: 2091021

Exodus 11-15

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether. Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver and jewels of gold. And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.”

Dear God, it is interesting to see the progression from when Moses first began to stand before Pharaoh and to the time when you sent the final plague against the Egyptians. At first Moses was seemingly outfoxed by Pharaoh and his magicians but slowly and surely, You showed Yourself strong until we end up here where the Bible says that You had given Moses and the people great favor in the sight of the Egyptians. You commanded the people to borrow gold and silver because You knew that the next day Your people would be on their way out. God, I know that you have planned a great work in my life, though things may seem like they are not moving much, I know there will come a day when things will tip. Lord, I pray that Thou wouldst help me to follow after Thee with my whole heart that I might be worthy of such an honor to be used of Thee.
