Bible Reading: 2091023

Exodus 16-20

“And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:” Exodus 16: 1-2

Lord, too often I am just like the children of Israel in that I soon forget the mighty works of Thy hand in my life. How soon I begin to complain about the condition of my life and take for granted the things that Thou hast provided for me. I pray that Thou wouldst forgive the sin of Thy servant and that I might bring Thee glory with my life.

“And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening. And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even? And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God: When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws. And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.” Exodus 18:13-17

Lord, I pray that I would deal wisely in the business of my life as Jethro instructed Moses. I pray Thee that Thou wouldst grant unto me the wisdom to lead those You would put in my life in a biblical, practical and productive manner. Help me above all to love Thee with all my heart
