Deuteronomy 6-10
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:”
Lord, I know that Thy word is not in my heart, else I would obey Thee and seek always to be near Thee. But rather I continually flee from Thee and allow the cares of this life to carry my heart away from Thee. Lord, I pray that my heart would not be drawn away but that it would dwell continually with Thee. Help me to do all that I do for Thee and Thee alone rather than it be only a show.
